Pyramids and Sakkara with Camel and Jeep SafariCaravan in the Sand Excursion
Depart El Ein El Sokhna to the Africa’s largest city, Reaching Cairo your first stop will be at the Western Plateau of Giza for a panoramic view and photographs of the Pyramids. Explore these great monuments at close by and continue down the valley to visit the mysterious Sphinx.
Drive through rural areas and cultivated fields towards Sakkara Country Club where 4 x 4 wheel drive jeeps will take you into the desert to a designated place where a camel caravan waits. Feel the desert wind in your hair and sway to the motion of your camel as it strides at leisurely pace through a desolate and harsh environment, led by its experienced driver.

Reboard the waiting minivan and drive to Sakkara, Egypt’s ancient cemetery to visit the Step Pyramid of King Zoser. At a Papyrus Institute in Cairo see how paper is made from reeds and shop for souvenirs before returning to Port Said.

Note: Comfortable walking shoes, light weight clothing, hat and sunscreen are recommended. Due to the nature of this tour, it is not recommended for guests with walkers or wheelchairs. Participants are reminded to adhere to the camel driver’s instructions for a safe ride. No fees for cameras and videos.. The drive to/from Cairo is approximately 2 hours each way, dependent upon traffic and local conditions.Tour order may vary between groups but all mentioned sites will be covered.
